Dentist quality teeth whitening for £100
Who doesn’t love a Hollywood smile? Teeth whitening is definitely growing in the UK especially when you see those beautiful shiny teeth of all the influencers and the younger people, so I’ve written about this before and while there are toothpastes available and strips, I think the best way to go and get a white a smile is to actually go to your dentist. Of course, this doesn’t come cheap.
Well, you can have a zoom whitening or get some trays made and whiten at home with a gel, but for the latter, you’re looking at around £300. Obviously, you can look around for offers and sometimes they’ll be 100 quid off, but that’s the price that I’ve been quoted. So what are we bargain hunters to do? Years ago I got some trays …

Bargain christmas gift round up
Now is the time to get those presents bought as there are not too many shopping days left Christmas day. Here is a round-up of my favourite bargain Christmas gift ideas – most in at less than £20 each, though a few in at more are very good buys IMHO.
They are in no particular order as I figure that most of us have a few different people to buy for. Remember if you buy online, you’ll probably have to pay postage and packaging :-(, but always use a cashback site if you can. If you have any to add, please put them in the comments.
Aldi’s Metallic Special Edition Prosecco (£7.49)

Superdrug regular saves
A recent trip to Superdrug opened my eyes to their own range of products. I must admit when it comes to shampoos and other toiletries, I am a bit of a known brand rather than an own brand fan.
But the funny thing is that a lot of own brand products offer the same features for less. As you may know, I don’t like writing about deals too often as once they are gone. You poor pumpkins remain annoyed that you missed the offer.
So here’s a little round up of some of Superdrug’s lovely products that are low priced or regularly on offer:
Caring coconut and sweet almond shampoo and conditioner
Was pleased with this shampoo and matching conditioner. Coconut oil and shampoo are great for hair loss. I can’t confirm that I stopped …

BerryClever community helps parents to cut costs
This is a bit different for me, but I liked the idea of it and decided to write about BerryClever – a social shopping site for new and expecting parents which aims to make online shopping more fun and interactive by giving parents the power to discover and choose products by reading and sharing honest advice from the people they can trust the most, their friends. Here is an interview with the guys behind the venture Emma Kafton and Kristi Flax. How does it work?
BerryClever has created a unique online environment, which allows you to connect with existing friends and new like-minded ones to discover the products they love, regret or simply can’t live without. You simply log onto the site to browse and discover new products, and read other parents’ reviews. BerryClever’s reviews, …

Online grocery shopping experience – Morrisons
I’ve been a bit unwell since December and have had to resort to online shopping. I have used Tesco for a while and thought that as Morrisons came out top in my latest online grocery shopping comparison (on paper), I had better try it out in person. Here are the good and bad points:
Good things about shopping at Morrisons online
1. I seemed to get more value for money
My shop was 75 items and cost just over £100, whereas 74 items from Tesco were £173 just before Xmas with lots of vouchers. I know that I haven’t done a like for like comparison, but I pretty much buy the same things every week, so the shop was cheaper.
2. There were lots of discounted products clearly visible
Right up front on the site, …

10 home made beauty products
If you’re looking to save some money on expensive beauty products, then you will be surprised to know that you can make your own DIY products from items in your cupboards at home, and for a fraction of the price you’d pay in the shops. Take a look at the following tips for inspiration.

18 simple Life Tips to save money and make life easier
One of my favourite Twitter feeds at the moment is @lifetipseasy. I love the practical and really simple tips and quite a few of them are about saving money or using alternative (cheaper) products to fix a problem, and some are even just simply genius.
Here are my favourite tips at the moment from the feed:
1. Measure one of your fingers and memorise the length – now you have an instant ruler.
2. Reduce nail polish clumping by running the polish bottle under hot water for 40-50 seconds.
3. Take a picture of your fridge on your phone, you’ll never struggle to remember what you need to buy at the grocery store!
4. Apples are more powerful than caffeine at helping you stay awake.
5. Want whiter teeth? Gently rub the inside of …
