With the sun out, there really isn’t much excuse not to get out there and walk or even run. Aldi Specialbuys Running range is now in stores and available while stocks last.
I have a Fitbit which was a gift and cost close to £70, so am very pleased to see Aldi’s Activity Tracker. Keep track of your fitness efforts with the multifunctional wristband. Aldi now the UK’s sixth-largest supermarket chain
Aldi is now bigger than Waitrose to become the UK’s sixth-largest supermarket chain by market share.
The German chain increased sales by 16.8% in the 12 weeks to 29 March, according to Kantar Worldpanel (consumer panel research firm). That figure took Aldi’s share of the market up to 5.3%, compared with 5.1% for Waitrose.
Aldi is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the UK and has enjoyed rapid sales growth due to the recession, high-quality products and fab special buys (IMHO).
Aldi has confirmed plans to quadruple the number of its stores in London, with nine new outlets including a second trial of a convenience-style outlet in Tooting. The group has 560 stores in Britain and wants 1,000 by 2022.
Some commentators believe discounters could in future control as much as 20% of the UK market. …

Popped into Aldi yesterday and they have a lovely new bedroom range in there. Hurry up though as apparently the products have been there since last Thursday. Here are some of my faves from the range.

Aldi will be launching its brand new Ski range on 4th December, available nationwide.
With Adult’s salopettes and jackets available from £16.99, Children’s Ski Wear (jackets & aalopettes combination) from £14.99 and a wide variety of other items from merino base layers, silk socks and infant snowsuits, you can kit out the entire family without breaking the bank. Morrisons to match Aldi and Lidl prices
Morrisons has revealed its Match & More scheme in bid to boost sales. Morrisons is first to offer a price match against budget chains Aldi and Lidl.
The supermarket is launching a new loyalty card which will give customers points if their shop would have been cheaper in another supermarket – including the budget rivals.
The Match & More card scans a database of thousands of products to find the cheapest shop.
It is the first system which compares prices with budget chains Aldi and Lidl.
Morrisons Chief Executive Dalton Phillips said the scheme was ‘the best of its kind in the UK.
‘Because it price matches the discounters, the Match & More card will provide the ultimate guarantee about Morrisons’ value-for-money.’
