Save money with automatic updates on cheaper tariffs and contract end dates
Want one tool to give you an overview of your spending, important renewal dates and cheaper tariffs? For your gas, electric, internet, TV, landline and mobile phone bills, Onedox could be the answer.
Onedox keeps bill information up-to-date in one place, and sends you alerts to let you know when your contract term is up and that you should consider switching tariff to save money.
I started using Onedox recently, and was immediately impressed that it knew when my MOT was going to run out and also my road tax. I was also chuffed to learn that my EE contract is coming to the end of its minimum term in a few weeks, and I should be looking for a cheaper tariff with my existing provider at least.
The Onedox interface provides access to all…

Easter dinner from Aldi at £3.80 per head
This Easter, at Aldi, customers can feed a family of four for £3.80 per head – cheaper than a single luxury Easter egg in most UK supermarkets – and to celebrate, the supermarket has rather strangely (IMHO) commissioned a life-sized chocolate dining table, complete with a lamb roast dinner and all the trimmings.
Aldi’s edible and intricately crafted ‘Chocolate Roast’ includes everything you’d expect on a Easter celebration table including a Whole Leg of Fresh British Lamb (£3.79 per kilogram) and Good Housekeeping Institute approved Specially Selected Hot Cross Buns (99p, 4 pack), as well as cutlery and plates.
Accompanied by fluffy Maris Piper potatoes (£1.89, 2.5kg), garden peas (69p, 907g), fresh carrots (45p, 1kg) and Bramwell’s Mint Sauce (39p, 180g), this yummy table also includes a bottle of Aldi’s Exquisite New Zealand Pinot Noir …

Major sales all in one place
Just put in your size and type of clothing and Lovethesales.com aggregates sale items so that you can compare and contrast easily in in one place. And that news definitely puts me in a happy place.
The launch of lovethesales.com means we have a “one stop shop” for sales items across 5,000 brands (that’s loads), meaning there’s no need to go from search online from shop, to shop, to shop, to shop to find that next great bargain. In fact, unknown to most of us, at any point in time, whether seasonal sale period or not, between 10% -15% if all retail products carry a reduced price tag. Brands just chose not to advertise it – busting the myth that it’s all over after January.
By shopping from lovethesales.com, where everything is on sale, means …

Get discount London theatre tickets
With half term fast approaching, if you are looking for something to do with the family, the theatre is definitely an option. As a family, we love theatre, and over the last year, we’ve learnt about how we can save loads by watching the theatre and opera at the cinema…it’s great and so much less expensive than heading to London or another big city. However, this is often only 2 – 4 times a year and for very big productions.
If you are heading to London, maybe you’ve checked out my post on cheap views of London, and you want to take your chances and head to the West End for a show. The first place to go is Leicester Square’s ticket booth, aka tkts. Located since 1980 in the Clocktower Building, it’s run …

Help to buy ISA…what’s it all about?
The help to buy ISA was introduced two months ago, and is available anyone over 16 who wants to benefit from tax free saving and a generous 25% bonus on your savings for a house.
The bonus is paid out when you get a mortgage and your solicitors will organise it for you when you buy your house.
To get the maximum £3k bonus, you need to have saved £12,000, and the minimum amount you can put in to get the bonus is £1,600. If you have already saved for your house or are just about to buy, you could put in £1,200 in month one, and £200 for another two months and in just three months, you can access the 25% bonus.
The ISA can be used for any type of house, and even …

Don’t fill up just yet – petrol prices about to drop?
I have a friend who’s just been made redundant from her oil sector job, she says that the oil companies are in troupble as oil heads for a price crash and petrol prices are predicted to fall by more than 13p to 86p a litre.
Big banks such as Standard Chartered, RBS, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs say that a worldwide glut of oil (there’s a global oil lake apparently) would send costs to an 18-year low, and keep prices down. That is just fantastic news after the high prices of the last few years. The RAC reckons that drivers would be enjoying the cheapest fuel since 2009 with savings of around £180 a year for a family hatchback.
There could be a price war as at supermarket forecourts, we are already paying 99.9p for …

GoSend – buy items from the States tax-free and with up to 80% less shipping fees
The US has traditionally held a certain appeal for shopping, with its big-name department stores and generally cheaper price tags than here in the UK. However, those that don’t have the luxury of visiting New York have by now more than likely found that either their favourite shop doesn’t ship to the UK (only 1% of retailers bother shipping products outside of the States) or experienced just how off-putting expensive online shipping costs can be.
So I’d like to introduce GoSend! The latest shopping and shipping service, allows bargain hunters to visit online US retailers, shop to their hearts delight and avoid issues involved with UK shipping, by giving users their own individual US postal address.
Once users checkout they just need to enter their unique GoSend US locker address (based within the …
