A brand new pet health advice service, PetGP (www.pet-gp.co.uk) has launched and wants to save owners across the UK £100s from unnecessary trips to the vet. By avoiding these visits, PetGP claims to save owners time and money and their pet from a potentially stressful experience.
A quick and cost effective way to access expert advice immediately, the helpline will be open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week and will be answered by qualified vet nurses.
PetGP is the brainchild of Vetsdirect Ltd, the UK’s largest and most trusted helpline for insured pet owners and charities.

Best supermarket for online grocery shopping – a comparison
It’s been a while since I updated my comparison of supermarkets that do home deliveries, so here is my research of the following online grocery providers – Waitrose, Ocado, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Asda. I know that Iceland delivers, but I find that their range is limited, so I am not including them.
I evaluated the supermarkets on the followting and in each category, the top supermarket comes in at position 1. Of course, one position 1 doesn’t mean everything is fanastic, so my top supermarket is the one that has the highest number of 1s and 2s, and this time we have joint winners: Ocado and Tesco, but remember if you want quality food, go to Waitrose, but be ready to pay more…it’s really up to you, but I hope that my research will …

So here’s a slightly different angle, let’s polish our eco-friendly halos and save money at the same time. Here are five green tips to help save money on household bills whilst achieving a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle.
AIR DRY, NOT HAIR DRY
Tumble dryers and hair dryers aid us in our day-to-day rituals, but to be more energy efficient and save those pennies, why not peg your clothes outside on the line (while there is still chance of sun) and let your hair dry free of direct and artificial heat (I do that virtually every day…just use a bit more conditioner for the smooth …

Brits spent almost £5bn in bargain stores last year
Poundland, Home Bargains, Poundword, Poundstretcher, B&M and the 99p Store seem to be winning in the retail stakes, with four in five shoppers now visiting bargain stores and buying an ever-wider array of goods including fresh fruit and veg.
Data from market researchers Nielsen showed that spending at bargain stores totalled £4.9bn in the year to July, up 17% from the previous year.
Nearly four-fifths of households in Britain (78%) now buy from them, with more than half shopping at Poundland alone. Combined Bargain stores are more popular than the German discount supermarket chains Aldi and Lidl, which are visited by three-quarters of households. I guess that’s because there are fewer Aldis and Lidls in town centres.
Almost a third of the increased annual amount spent at bargain stores resulted from shoppers switching from mainstream …

Is this the lowest cost Virtual Assistant service available?
I have household and work do lists that are longer than all the arms put together in my house, so I need some help.
We both work full time, and I can’t afford a housekeeper or PA, but I got this email at work from a firm called Jobbajob…”your 24/7 virtual assistant”.
I get a lot of these emails, but I liked the pricing and the fact that if you take a plan out a monthly plan, they will do unlimited 15 minute jobs for you, and some longer “Toughie” jobs!
They will do tasks like research holidays, make simple calls for you, research, order food for you, nag you ;-), and remind you about things.
They divide tasks into Quickies (up to 15 mins) and Toughies (up to an hour). Their cheapest plan is …

How to keep saving on your car insurance
How much you pay for insurance can make a sizeable difference to the overall cost of owning a car, so it’s important not to pay more than you need to. I just renewed my premium, so got to thinking that I needed to share some tips on keeping premiums as low as possible. Of course I went to a comparison website and saved over £200 off the quote last year’s provider gave me for renewal, but there are plenty of other things to consider.
Here are our top tips to avoid over-spending on insurance:
Factor in insurance from the start
It’s easy to be seduced by the upfront price of a new car, but remember that it doesn’t include the cost of insuring it for the road.
The more powerful and more valuable your car, …
