Track down some running bargains at Aldi
With summer just around the corner, there’s never been a better time to take to the streets and get exercising – and now runners can look and feel the part for less thanks to the brand new Aldi Specialbuys RUNNING range, in store from 14TH APRIL and available while stocks last.
I got my lovely mitts on some of the gear and I must admit, the quality and sizing is good. My favourite products are the trainers and accesssories, such as wrist straps that you can put your keys or change in. Clothing goes up to 18 in ladies and large for men, so it will cover plenty of runners!
Aldi’s RUNNING SHOES (£12.99) are a perfect trainer for aspiring road runners. Or, for the more experienced, Aldi’s PREMIUM RUNNING SHOES (£19.99) are the natural …

Did you know about Clarks Outlet online?
Just found out that there is a Clarks OUTLET online. I knew that they have these stores, but have only found one in Bicester Village and in Peckham, so forgot to look online.
The store only sells ladies and men’s shoes and the majority are marked down at least 30%. I got in touch with the Clarks team, especially as I have bought from an outlet before and was not able to return the shoes to a normal store, and I am interested in discount children’s shoes.
They told me that as the outlet website has recently launched, they took the decision not to stock childrens shoes at the moment. This is something, they will review in the future, however there is no timescale to when this may take place.
They confirmed that Clarks Outlet …

Supermarket vegetable price drop madness
The best news for us veggie lovers is a 2.5 kg bag of potatos for 25 p, or do you fancy a brocolli for 28 p? Supermarkets are always conducting price wars, and these vegetable price cuts are definitely making me a happy bunny.
As you may know, I am loyal to no supermarket. I shop at M&S (don’t think I’ve had one bad thing from there ever!), Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Co-op, Morrisons and Aldi. Basically, I try to steer away from Waitrose as those prices scare me just a little bit…I had to do without brocolli the last and only time I did a weekly shop there, as it was £2…gulp. I don’t mind paying for quality, but there’s a limit.
Anyway, the Aldis and the Lidls are basically making larger supermarkets a bit hot …

Morrisons vegetables for 28 p
Yep, you read it right, a penny cheaper than Asda! So Morrisons have got a promo on at the mo, where some vegetables are super cheap. I bought carrots, brocollis, potatoes for 28 p each, and there were other veggies there too.
It really is heating up in the supermarket wars! And the pack sizes are not stingy either at Morrisons. The carrots are 1kg for 28 p, would have been 68 p normally. Brocolli which tends to be around 49 p for the cheapest and 500 g swede which would be around 50 – 75 p normally.
Oh and if you can’t get to Morrisons store, go and shop on line as most of the same discounts apply, though I couldn’t find the potatoes.…

Major sales all in one place
Just put in your size and type of clothing and Lovethesales.com aggregates sale items so that you can compare and contrast easily in in one place. And that news definitely puts me in a happy place.
The launch of lovethesales.com means we have a “one stop shop” for sales items across 5,000 brands (that’s loads), meaning there’s no need to go from search online from shop, to shop, to shop, to shop to find that next great bargain. In fact, unknown to most of us, at any point in time, whether seasonal sale period or not, between 10% -15% if all retail products carry a reduced price tag. Brands just chose not to advertise it – busting the myth that it’s all over after January.
By shopping from lovethesales.com, where everything is on sale, means …

Asda just got cheaper
Asda has announced cutting the price of 1,600 products below all rivals’ prices today. The supermarket is the third biggest in the UK after Tesco and Sainsbury’s, and suffered some abyssmal sales over Christmas time, so that’s the reason dear reader. sThe slide in sales was announced along the price cuts as Asda tries to win over shoppers from competitors, further fuelling the raging supermarket price war.
And good news for us, Asda said that today’s cuts are just the first of lots of price reductions worth £500million, including essentials like fruit and veg, cereal, milk, meat, eggs, fish, nappies and toilet rolls.
As well as fighting against the big boys the cuts will help it to compete with discounters Aldi and Lidl. The price cuts are called “Pocket More”. As a fan of Aldi, …

Is George Osbourne crazy – tax on periods still here
Tampon tax is in the spotlight with Chancellor George Osborne promising to give the VAT the Treasury receives to good causes and to lobby the EU to zero rate all sanitary protection.
Currently VAT is charged at 5% on sanitary items, the lowest rate allowable under EU law. Although, 300,000 people signed a petition against the tax, the Chancellor can’t do anything to change this cos of the EU.
While women’s charities benefit, I still question why are women having to still pay the so called ‘luxury tax’ on an essential item?
In steps Superdrug! From 10th February all purchases of Superdrug’s Own Brand tampons and sanitary towels in the UK will see the customer rewarded with between three and ten loyalty card points added to their Health & Beauty Card account. Each of these …
