Easter dinner from Aldi at £3.80 per head
This Easter, at Aldi, customers can feed a family of four for £3.80 per head – cheaper than a single luxury Easter egg in most UK supermarkets – and to celebrate, the supermarket has rather strangely (IMHO) commissioned a life-sized chocolate dining table, complete with a lamb roast dinner and all the trimmings.
Aldi’s edible and intricately crafted ‘Chocolate Roast’ includes everything you’d expect on a Easter celebration table including a Whole Leg of Fresh British Lamb (£3.79 per kilogram) and Good Housekeeping Institute approved Specially Selected Hot Cross Buns (99p, 4 pack), as well as cutlery and plates.
Accompanied by fluffy Maris Piper potatoes (£1.89, 2.5kg), garden peas (69p, 907g), fresh carrots (45p, 1kg) and Bramwell’s Mint Sauce (39p, 180g), this yummy table also includes a bottle of Aldi’s Exquisite New Zealand Pinot Noir …

Morrisons vegetables for 28 p
Yep, you read it right, a penny cheaper than Asda! So Morrisons have got a promo on at the mo, where some vegetables are super cheap. I bought carrots, brocollis, potatoes for 28 p each, and there were other veggies there too.
It really is heating up in the supermarket wars! And the pack sizes are not stingy either at Morrisons. The carrots are 1kg for 28 p, would have been 68 p normally. Brocolli which tends to be around 49 p for the cheapest and 500 g swede which would be around 50 – 75 p normally.
Oh and if you can’t get to Morrisons store, go and shop on line as most of the same discounts apply, though I couldn’t find the potatoes.…

Major sales all in one place
Just put in your size and type of clothing and Lovethesales.com aggregates sale items so that you can compare and contrast easily in in one place. And that news definitely puts me in a happy place.
The launch of lovethesales.com means we have a “one stop shop” for sales items across 5,000 brands (that’s loads), meaning there’s no need to go from search online from shop, to shop, to shop, to shop to find that next great bargain. In fact, unknown to most of us, at any point in time, whether seasonal sale period or not, between 10% -15% if all retail products carry a reduced price tag. Brands just chose not to advertise it – busting the myth that it’s all over after January.
By shopping from lovethesales.com, where everything is on sale, means …

Brand new Springwear collection at Aldi
So Aldi does bring out clothing throughout the year, from ski to workwear, and now Spring fashions. They call it a “transitional” wardrobe available in stores from 3rd March 2016. Offering quality and value, get the items while stocks last.
FOR HER
For women, check out Aldi’s quality OTTOMAN JUMPER (£8.99) and WEEKEND SHIRT (£8.99) which are perfect for those brighter days when it’s still a bit breezey. The shirt is available in a casual checked or chambray design and can be worn with the versatile and lightweight ottoman jumper which available in a range of colours, guaranteed to please cash conscious fashionistas.
I was very impressed with the classic SKINNY JEANS for just £7.99 . They even came in a size 18 and had lots of stretch. For just under £8, you can’t go …

Asda just got cheaper
Asda has announced cutting the price of 1,600 products below all rivals’ prices today. The supermarket is the third biggest in the UK after Tesco and Sainsbury’s, and suffered some abyssmal sales over Christmas time, so that’s the reason dear reader. sThe slide in sales was announced along the price cuts as Asda tries to win over shoppers from competitors, further fuelling the raging supermarket price war.
And good news for us, Asda said that today’s cuts are just the first of lots of price reductions worth £500million, including essentials like fruit and veg, cereal, milk, meat, eggs, fish, nappies and toilet rolls.
As well as fighting against the big boys the cuts will help it to compete with discounters Aldi and Lidl. The price cuts are called “Pocket More”. As a fan of Aldi, …

Is George Osbourne crazy – tax on periods still here
Tampon tax is in the spotlight with Chancellor George Osborne promising to give the VAT the Treasury receives to good causes and to lobby the EU to zero rate all sanitary protection.
Currently VAT is charged at 5% on sanitary items, the lowest rate allowable under EU law. Although, 300,000 people signed a petition against the tax, the Chancellor can’t do anything to change this cos of the EU.
While women’s charities benefit, I still question why are women having to still pay the so called ‘luxury tax’ on an essential item?
In steps Superdrug! From 10th February all purchases of Superdrug’s Own Brand tampons and sanitary towels in the UK will see the customer rewarded with between three and ten loyalty card points added to their Health & Beauty Card account. Each of these …

easyFoodstore takes on Aldi, Poundland and Lidl – everything 25p intro offer
There’s a new discount store on the block. Founded by Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the brains behind easyJet, it will offer basic items, such as sugar, tea and sardines at ‘rock-bottom prices’.
As a fan of Poundland and Aldi, I am intrigued by the 25p grocer easyFoodstore. Launched in London only at the mo, the shelves are stacked with dried pasta, rice and tins.
The shops offers a range of basic items at ‘rock-bottom prices’, with an introductory promotion this month of just 25p for everything – including sugar, tea, sardines, tomato ketchup, peach slices and Jaffa Cakes.
There are no branded products and the store says that it offers ‘No expensive brands, just food honestly priced’. The 25p shop is part of a promotional month, but after that bosses say they could rise to around 50p!… -
